Welcome

I am an urban homesteading designer in Chicago, spending my days as the Head of Digital Product and UX at MillerKnoll, and my nights with my bookish husband and two sons.

With a BFA in Interior Design, I spent four years and a lot of money perfecting my architectural lettering. It wasn't until after college that I began to explore more decorative and free forms. The Lettering Blog is a place to collect my sketches - and to keep me accountable for working on my lettering. You'll also find bits of the rest of my life - arts and crafts, party planning, kid adventures and urban gardening, to name a few. I also keep a sketchbook of practice sheets, just to see how far I’ve come.

Professionally, I’ve built a product-centric practice area of sustainable, remote teams that excel through clear communication, tools, and processes in order to create meaningful work. My product managers are known for being high-performing individuals who are data-driven, action-oriented, and accountable. My product designers are user champions who are systems-thinkers, detail-oriented, and innovative. I’m proud of all of them. I strive to create and model a balanced, inclusive, and kind team culture.

If you are interested in custom lettering work or would like a print, please contact me.

Hope you enjoy.
