Design/Build: Bookshelf unit
As part of a furniture/design build class during my junior year as an undergraduate, I wanted to break away from the mold of traditional wood use. I experimented with color washes on light colored woods to produce varying affects. I ultimately decided on highlighting display space inside of a boxy bookshelf to give simple tomes a worthy home.
The box corners are all mitered and finishing nailed, the connections are all tongue and groove.
